conscie et libere vivere

Live. Laugh. Love. I wish happiness came that easily. But it doesn't. And I've accepted that.

A free mind leads an infinite soul. Dedicated to many.

Rest Peacefully.

Knowing that everything comes to an end is a gift of experience, a consolation gift for knowing that we ourselves are coming to an end. Before we get it we live in a continuous present, and imagine the future as more of that present. Happiness is endless happiness, innocent of its own sure passing.

—Tobias Wolff

A rather disheartening thing about living in America is that sometimes we as a people forget there are millions living in this world who couldn’t even fathom an American lifestyle. We as a nation constantly lose awareness of those less than fortunate than ourselves. But hey, it’s not a Perfect World.

Rather than sitting at the computer and writing, actually finishing things and fleshing out thoughts, I just rely on going on stage and dicking around until the funny parts occur to me. I’m constantly tormented by the fact that if I could get organized enough to just sit down and write, I would be 50 times further than I am today, creatively.

Always keep your options open. But try to keep them parallel, because backtracking is annoying and time consuming.

Simplistic Fulfillment

It doesn’t matter how life was first created. Scientists and philosophers waste years trying to decide whether the chicken or the egg came first. When in reality, the only certainty on this molten-cored rock, floating through space is that you and I are living and breathing creatures, with an infinite mind attached to our bodies. Live to enjoy every breath of life, every sound, every taste, every touch, and life will most definitely be fulfilling. Live solely based on alternative motives, such as pleasing others, being the prettiest, smartest, or most talented, and regret will surely surface itself later in your life. Why? Because when we’re preoccupied with such nonsense, life doesn’t wait around. As Bueller says, “If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” But that doesn’t mean don’t do what you love. In fact, it means the opposite. Follow your dreams; where does it say they can’t come true? Many who are desperate, or just over think things often ask, “What is the point of life?” To which I smile and respond, “Stop asking questions. Just live. Nothing more, nothing less. Life is completely what you make of it. Life is beautiful, whatever way you look at it. And ya know what? I kinda like it that way.”

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you.

—Ezekiel 25:17
